Please note that failure to follow these guidelines may result in a disciplinary meeting with the Brookside Executive.
- Respect all coaches, referees/umpires, parents and league officials.
- Be courteous and supportive to all teammates.
- Respect your opponents and exhibit sportsmanship at all times.
- Do not use profanity at any time.
The Parent
- Remember that children participate to have fun and that the game is for youth, not adults.
- Teach your child to play by the rules and to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence.
- Respect the coaches and referees/umpires authority during games and, if an issue arises, never confront a coach at the game or practice field. Wherever possible observe a 24 hour cool-down period and then set up a meeting
The Coach
- Treat players, referees/umpires and parents with respect.
- Support principles of fair play and sportsmanship.
- Help develop every player’s confidence and self-image.
